Four narrators
Grace is included free. Plus adds three more voices, Michael, Emma, and George, which is useful if you like a male narrator for the Old Testament history or a British voice for the Psalms. Not the built-in iPhone voice
Some "audio Bible" apps just send the text to the phone's text-to-speech engine, which is why they sound flat and mispronounce names. Bible for Me's narration is produced ahead of time, chapter by chapter, with natural voices, and delivered as audio files. Proper nouns are pronounced properly, pauses fall where the verses break, and it sounds like a reading, not a screen reader.
Other narrated translations
Alongside the KJV, the World English Bible (WEB) and the American Standard Version (ASV) are fully narrated. The WEB is a modern-English public-domain translation that reads naturally out loud; the ASV of 1901 is the KJV's formal successor and the base for many later translations. Outside the United Kingdom, yes. The KJV text in Bible for Me is the standard text used by nearly every modern printing.
Does it include the Apocrypha?
No. The KJV in Bible for Me is the 66-book Protestant canon. The Douay-Rheims translation is also included as text if you want a Catholic English Bible.
Does the audio match the printed text word for word?
Yes. Narration is generated from the same text you see in the reader, which is why read-along highlighting stays in sync.
