Dwell uses recorded human voice actors. Bible for Me's narration is pre-rendered natural-voice audio, generated chapter by chapter and stored on your phone. It's warm and consistent, pronounces names correctly, and is the reason we can narrate the entire Bible for free in four voices. It's not the built-in iPhone screen-reader voice.
